Lafayette, Louisiana - Lafayette- Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Vanessa Benjamin Robert, 36, who died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her residence.Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her passing, husband Rufus Robert; children Von'Tavia, Mark Jr, Mar'Jalin, and Ron'Jvien; step-children Megan Moten, Jonathan Bruno, and Isaish Robert; parents Nathaniel Benjamin and Annie Benjamin; sisters Amy Benjamin, Ladaysha Benjamin and her cousin who was more like a sister, Verna Rubin; brothers Nathaniel Benjamin, Jr, and Anthony Moore of Lafayette, Louisiana and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Vanessa was preceded in death by two children, Von'Tashia and Kenneth Jr; maternal grandparents Lorena Shelvin and Leroy Morris; paternal grandparents, Morris and Lucille William Benjamin; sister-in law Barbara Brown and Godmother/Aunt, Stephanine Benjamin.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Kinchen Funeral Home from 5 pm - 9 pm (Rosary recited at 7pm) and Monday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc of Lafayette, Louisiana is in charge of final arrangements
