ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Joseph Terrance Guidry, age 89, at 1:00 pm Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Rusty Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Guidry passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Guidry enjoyed gardening, watching old western movies and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, George J. Guidry and wife Loretta of New Iberia and Roy J. Guidry and wife Glenda of St. Martinville, one daughter, Linda G. Henry of St. Martinville; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Champagne Guidry; one daughter, Lillian Maraist; parents, Terrance and Elise Menard Guidry; two sisters, Ann Champagne and Marie Champagne and three brothers, Lawrence Guidry, Allen Guidry and Alexandre Horace Guidry.

Pallbearers will be George Guidry, Roy Guidry, Brad Maraist, Matthew Maraist, Bart Doucet and Dustin Roseberry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicole Mariast Latiolais, Natalie Guidry Broussard and Sandy Romero Roseberry.
