Mrs. Fayrine McPhee Temple, 89, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 after a final rest at Grace Home. Active and living in her own home until her final days, Mrs. Temple was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Temple was preceded in death by her husband, B. K. Temple who died in August 2008; her sister, Catherine McPhee; and a grandson, Kevin O’Kane. She is survived by a daughter, Kenton Temple and husband, Walt Tunnell, of Knoxville, TN; a son, Kerry Temple and wife, Jessica, of South Bend, IN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Derry O’Kane, of Bellingham, WA; Erin O’Kane, of Seattle, WA; Casey Temple, of Pendleton, IN; Ross Temple, of Bloomington, IN; and Pike, Finn and Kinsey Temple, of South Bend, IN.
Fayrine was a devout Catholic who loved her family, Notre Dame Football, flowers and all beautiful things, music and dancing, competitive games, especially bridge and family games of double solitaire.
She had a frequently hidden but fun sense of humor. She highly valued her friends who held an important place in her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 4th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Charles Glorioso officiating.
The family is especially grateful to Ellen, Alan, Johnette and all of the good and caring people at Grace Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Grace Home, 1035 Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.
