Funeral services for Mrs. Nina Stansel Blazier of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Friday, June 28, 2019 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe with Pastor Matthew Nappier officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetary, West Monroe, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Griffin funeral home.
Mrs. Nina was born September 10, 1938, In Braxton Mississippi and passed away June 24, 2019 in west Monroe Louisiana.

She’s known for her deep love of West Monroe Rebel Football, her poetry/artistic ability, and being the life of every party she attended. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and always lit up when they walked into the room. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.B and Ida Stansel, her loving husband/ favorite football player John Edwin Blazier, her foster son Charles William Stansel Jr., grandson Joseph Blazier, brothers Charles Stansel, Jim Stansel.

Those left to cherish her memories include two sons, John Frank Blazier and wife Judy, James Edwin Blazier, daughters: Tammy Robert and long time companion Ann Stuckey, Linda Shelburne, sisters; Charlene Rodgers and Mittie Brubaker, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Pallbearers will be members of the Louisiana Army National Guard.
We would like to thank those who cared for her at the West Monroe Guest house and Ascend Hospice Care. You will always have a special place in our hearts for loving mom like she was your own.
