Wife of Donald W Sumrall
Daughter of Latimore and Ada Sumrall Thomas
Brenda Sumrall, 52, a resident of the Pine community, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday in the LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa. She was a supervisor at Rutter-Rex Manufacturing for many years and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Wayne Sumrall of Pine; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Vicki Sumrall of Pine; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kim and Jimmy Wilson, Ashley Sumrall and fiance Kyle Barber, all of Pine; two granddaughters, Kristin Sumrall and Haley Sumrall; a mother, Ada Thomas of Franklinton; seven sisters; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Latimore Thomas; a granddaughter, Allison Sumrall; a grandson, Jimmy Dewayne Wilson Jr.; her grandmother, Ester Ladner; and her grandfather, Jessie Ladner.
Visitation was held from 2-10 p.m. Saturday and continued from 8 a.m. yesterday until time of the funeral service, conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. The Revs. Harold Gaddy, Walter Vernon, Marlon Arceneaux, and Eld. Tommy Hudnall officiated at the service. Burial followed in the Thomas Cemetery.
