Married: June 6, 1964
Mrs. Donna Edmiston died in Lehi Utah due to kidney failure on August 28, 2018. It was a sleepy, painless pathway for her and she passed peacefully at the age of 82.
Donna was the youngest of five children by her parents John Ross and Merle Massey Ross from Roosevelt Utah. She is preceded in death by her husband Harlon Ray Edmiston from Choudrant, Louisiana.
Donna was born on June 1, 1936, in Roosevelt, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business education and married Harlon Ray Edmiston on June 6, 1964. Donna worked for many years as an educator in Anadarko, Oklahoma and teaching was her life’s work and greatest joy. She was the mother of Rayna Edmiston Pusillo, Daryl Ray Edmiston, Sharyl Kay Edmiston Mitchell, along with a foster son, Norman Cavanaugh.
She was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. She loved the outdoors, gardening and sewing blankets for her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved to tease.
A viewing is scheduled for September 4 from 2-5pm at Premier Funeral Services, 1160 N. 1200 W, Orem, UT. Donna’s final resting place will be next to her husband in the Douglas Cemetery near Choudrant, Louisiana. Graveside services will be held at 12pm on September 10, 2018. All are welcome to attend. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
She is survived by her sister, Merlynn Ross Hoover, her children, fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all those who gave care and friendship to Donna including the wonderful staff at Abbington Manor, her neighbors, friends and ward members.
