Funeral services for Marie "Ree" Jackson, 94, of Bernice will be held at 10:00am Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Jarrod Hawthorne, Bro. Joe Jackson and Bro. Garry Garris officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mrs. Jackson, a homemaker, went to her heavenly home June 8, 2016. She was an excellent cook, and a member of Mt. Sterling Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and instilled that in her children and grandchildren whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Eulyess & Mary Driggers; her husband, D. B. Jackson, 1 daughter, Mary Frances Garris and 1 son-in-law, Paul Henderson.
Left to cherish her memory are her 4 sons: Jimmy L. Jackson of Bernice, David L. Jackson of Bernice, Charles E. Jackson of Bernice, and Bro. Joe L. Jackson & wife, Peggy of Melbourne, AR; 1 daughter, Betty Roan of West Monroe; 1 son-in-law, Devayne Garris; 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many friends.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roddie Evans, Bobby Gene Kelly, and Larry Green.
Visitation is 5-8pm Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church.
