Daughter of Melvin Ray and Lois Dillon Thomas
Nelda Thomas Nobles, 65, a resident of the Lawrence Creek community, died at 6:18 a.m. yesterday in Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was the widow of E.A. Nobles and a member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Melvin Ray and Lois Dillon Thomas of Lawrence Creek; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Tammy Nobles of Franklinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Brian Stakelum of Franklinton; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy G. and Kaye Thomas of Lawrence Creek; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann and Butch Passman of Franklinton; five grandchildren and a grandson-in-law, Andy Nobles, Amber Nobles, Jesse and Cecelia Malley, Jarrett Malley, and Courtney Malley; and two great-grandchildren, Jason and Paige Malley.
Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home from 5-10 p.m. today and will continue after 9 a.m. tomorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Eld. Leran Hunt, the Rev. Harold Gaddy, Eld. Connis Bennett, and Eld. Clyde Cooper will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
