Epitaph: His memory is blessed.
"George Washington Stuart homesteaded land in Union Parish in 1884. He then wed Mollie Biggs on December 15, 1884 in Union Parish. Wash's father died/disappeared when he was about 4 years old. On his death certificate, his father is listed as Josh. I have been unable to locate Josh. Wash's mother was Isabella Gibson. Her 2nd husband was James Greer, 3rd was William Hammonds. His headstone reads Stewart."
