Service for Lucille Heard Stewart, 95, of Farmerville, Louisiana, was held at 10 am Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Farmerville. Officiating will be Rev David Martin and Rev Roger Johnson. Interment followed in Farmerville City Cemetery.
Mrs Stewart was a home economics teacher for more than 40 years in the Union Parish School system. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Farmerville Chapter #207 for 50 years; Delta Kappa Gamma Society for 50 years plus; taught Sunday school of the First Baptist Church of Farmerville; Pink Ladies at Union General Hospital; she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmerville, and a graduate of Louisiana Tech.
She is preceded in death by husband Jurd G Stewart; parents C J Heard and Anna Grafton Heard; sister Beatrice “Pat” Tubbs; nephew Ronald Clinton Tubbs.
She is survived by nephews, L Glynn Tubbs and wife Carol Ann Hartman Tubbs of Monroe, Louisiana and family Mandi Medaries Costanza of Monroe; Amanda and Jeron Medaries of Monroe; Christopher Glynn Tubbs of Monroe ; Wayne Tubbs and wife Gloria Jean Wasson Tubbs of West Monroe; Toby Tubbs and wife Linda of Monroe; Lauren, Leslie, Rachel and Adam Tubbs; Tony Tubbs and wife Barbara of Austin, Texas and children Seth, Emily; Terri Lynn Puckett and husband Larry and children Micah and Betsy of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Godson Dr Steven Guier and wife Cindy and his children Christian, Joshua, Gretchan, Adam and wife Kate and child Ella.
Music was presented by Dr Bob and Dottie Ferrington and Paula Sample.

Visitation was held Monday, October 1, 2007 from 5 to 8 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
