May 10, 1942 - January 13, 2019
Funeral Services for Katherine R. "Bubbles" Pinion Sanders of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Philip Smith and Fred Hooter officiating. Interment will follow in Halsey Cemetery.
This world was blessed with Kathy on May 10, 1942. She was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
Leading her into heaven were her parents, Ralph Pinion and Dorothy (Dot) Demoret; her grandparents, Floyd and Clara Ferrington; and a host of aunts and uncles whom she thought of daily.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband and friend T. A. “Al” Sanders; her daughter, Renee Huddleston (Dennie); son, Buddy L. Stringer; several grandchildren, Joseph “Trey” Trichell, Jacob Trichell, Katie Tremaine, Josh Huddleston, Chasity Stringer, Casey Stringer and Lynzey Hardwick; along with eleven great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Kathy was known by many friends as “Bubbles”, as a small baby she was always “Blowing Bubbles”, as she grew up it was her bubbly personality and endearing sense of humor.
After the death of her mother, Dorothy, Kathy was raised by her grandparents. Her grandfather who was a Kiroli Park Ranger for several years helped fuel her desire for the outdoors. She often rode horses and was referred to as a “Tom Boy”.
Later Kathy went to work for Sonny Panzico at the Garden Mart in West Monroe. She loved the Landscape Business and the wonderful friendships she developed along the way. Even though she retired after 20 years, the people she met along the way knew her no matter where we went.
Kathy retired from the Garden Mart but not from her friends and family. She always enjoyed holding them dear, from fish fry’s to swim parties we always enjoyed hanging out around the pool.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Brad Thomisee. He was her side kick most often, making sure he took her to lunch, to the doctor and even to have her hair fixed. He was often referred to as the “Driver of Miss Daisy” as her health declined. And also we would like to thank all of those who have touched her life, be it small too large, friends, sitters, Hospice, and all of the special people in her life. We would love to list each, but the list would extend forever.
Pallbearers will be Randy Thomisee, Brad Thomisee, Kevin Watson, Cole Watson, Mark Sanders and Joey Trichell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
