Mary Jane Carl Hughes, 71, of Vivian, LA passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Pine Street Church of Christ officiated by Rev. Bob McDoniel. Burial will follow at Vivian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian. Jane was born April 11, 1941 in Drumright, OK to Wallace E. Carl Sr. and Fern Ridenhour Carl and moved to Vivian in 1949. She graduated from North Caddo High School in 1959. She married Dewey S. Hughes Sr. on June 25, 1962. She was a faithful member of Pine Street Church of Christ. She was employed by CenturyTel Telephone Company in Vivian, until she retired in 2007. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her baby brother Wallace E. Carl Jr. and her daughter Carol Ann Hughes. She is survived by her husband, Dewey Hughes Sr., her children; Dewey S. Dee Hughes Jr. and wife Pam Hughes and Mistye Jane Hughes Stewart, her grandchildren; John Wallace Stewart, Matthew Ryan Stewart, Shelby Elizabeth Stewart, Steven Ginder and David Hallmark and her niece Stacie Renee Carl Terry and husband Danny, 2 great nephews Daniel and Austin Terry. A special thank you to the entire staff of North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian and Vivian Healthcare in Vivian, for the special love and care they gave to our special Lady, Dedaw and Mom
