Nancy Evans Powell, 92, born June 26, 1920, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at her residence. She was a nurse and devoted her time to helping others in the community during their time of need. She is survived by a son, H.W. "Mack" Boswell of Biloxi, Miss.; a daughter, Deborah K. Hill of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren E. and Nancy Beard Evans; a son, Charles Lee Boswell; three brothers, Warren Evans Jr., Ed Evans and J.D. Evans; and seven sisters, Suzie Evans, Josie Evans, Ollie Evans, Lilly Evans Crosby, Lizzy Evans Dunaway, Laura H. Evans and Melissa (Sis) Goss Siler. Visitation services will be held Thursday, June 20, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., and will resume on Friday from 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Patrick Magee officiating. Interment services will follow in the Pounds-Poole Cemetery.
