Reid B. Watts, 67, died last Thursday at Delta Haven Nursing Home after a long illness.
A native of Mackville, Ky., Mr. Watts had lived in Madison Parish for many years. He was vice-president
of the Madison Parish Police Jury. He was a planter and cattleman and had interest in the Montrose Oil Co.
and gin.
He is survived by his widow; two brothers, E. W. Watts of Cleveland; John Watts of Tallulah; seven sisters;
Mrs. Minor Lester and Mrs. Charles Leonard of Harrodsburg, Ky., Mrs. John Carpenter of Bastrop, Mrs. Rupert Harmon
of Tallulah, Mrs. J. H. Jordan and Mrs. S. D. Cox of Columbus, Miss, and Mrs. Hugh Vance of Atlanta.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Crothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating.
Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery.
