March 26, 1932 - July 18, 2018
Dorothy Elizabeth "Dot" McCain Sumrall, 86, and a resident of the Poplarhead Community passed away at her home. She was retired after 25 years of service as a cafeteria worker and then manager at Franklinton Elementary School. She was a longtime member of Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church, who dearly loved her church family. She leaves behind 2 daughters and 1 son in law, 4 grandchildren and spouses, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister in law and also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband Willie Sumrall, 1 son in law Hayward Luper, mother Olivia Knight McCain, father and step-mother J.D. McCain and Althea Brumfield McCain, step-brother Cedric James, step-sister Leatrice Nicks and also numerous sisters in law and brothers in law.
