FRANKLINTON - Frank Rester, 80, a resident of Franklinton died Saturday at his residence. He was a retired butcher, a member of the Love Missionary Baptist Church and Pine Masonic Lodge No. 254. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Adilee Creel Rester of Franklinton; a son and daughter-in-law, Lavon and Beverly Rester of Tylertown; three daughters, and sons-in-law, Carolyn and J. W. Payne of Thomas, Patricia and Denman Graves of Franklinton and Pamela and William Paige of Bogalusa; a step-son and spouse, Hulon and Bobbie Pierce of Columbia, MS; two sisters, Ruthie Lee Lewis of Franklinton and Beulah Mae Jenkins of Lumberton, MS; 13 grandchildren; and 17 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death was his first wife, Dorothy Creel Rester; his parents, Eld. Abner and Catherine Rester; and four brothers, Henry, Daniel Wilton, Edgar and Earl;
and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation began yesterday at 6 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home and continued until the service today at 2 p.m. Eld. Glynn Erwin and Eld. Rodney Graham will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Poplarhead Church Cemetery.
