FRANKLINTON - Cora Thomas McCain, age 93, a resident of Franklinton, died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 in Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was a member of Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of J. Norman McCain Sr.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, J. Norman Jr. and Nelline McCain of Franklinton; four grandchildren, Rex McCain, Linda McCain Thomas, Michael McCain and Mark McCain; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon "Buddy" Thomas of Bogalusa; and four sisters, Zellie Mizell and Mamie McDonald, both of Bogalusa, Geneva Knight of Pine and Gladys Merse of Baker.
Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home. Visitation continued after 9 a.m. Saturday until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Eld. Burdette Thomas and the Rev. Lynn Martin officiated, with burial following in the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
