CARRIERE, MS n Beulah Mae Rester Jenkins, 83, a native of Bogalusa and a longtime resident of Carriere, died Thursday in her home. She was a member of Henleyfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Ruthie Lee Lewis of Franklinton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sie Jenkins; a daughter, Betty Eloise Jenkins; her parents, Abner Rester and Catherine Jenkins Rester; five brothers, Henry, Frank, Wilton, Edgar, and Earl Rester.
Visitation was held yesterday at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 4-10 p.m. and will continue today after 8 a.m. until the chapel funeral service at 2 p.m. Bros. Authur Shaw, Richard Magee, and Harry Burge will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in Poplarhead Baptist Church Cemetery in the Poplarhead community.
