On July 7, 2008, Richard E. "Rick" Warner was called home to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1976, which included a tour in the Vietnam War.

He was a long time employee of Rayburn Correctional Center, retiring in January, 2008. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bogalusa. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and a devoted "Papa" to his grandchildren.

Rick leaves to celebrate his life, his loving wife of over 30 years, Antoinette Cefalu Warner; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jack Toney; two grandchildren, Hayden Jack and Marianna Grace Toney; his beloved mother, Mildred Warner; one brother, Tommy (Tammy) Warner; one sister, Colleen (Roxie) Fornea; and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Colon Warner; and his nephew, Benjamin Warner.

Members of Rayburn Correctional Center Tactical Unit will stand as honor guard and will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and continued today at 9 a.m. The funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. today in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Robert Adams, pastor of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa. Interment followed in Ponemah Cemetery.

Antoinette Cefalu Warner, 81, resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on May 5, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. She was born in Bogalusa on October 19, 1938.

Antoinette is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Angela Brown Toney and Jack S. Toney of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren Hayden J. Toney and Marianna G. Toney of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers Joseph Cefalu and Charles Cefalu both of Baton Rouge, LA; her sisters Theresa Busby and Josie Thomas of Bogalusa, LA, Rose Allison of Vicksburg, MS, and Camille Seabolt of Baton Rouge, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Warner, brothers Roy Cefalu and Vinson Cefalu, sisters Mary Jo Seal and Sarah Paul, and her parents Charles and Mary Cefalu.

A graveside service will be held to celebrate her life at Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate the service and interment will follow.
