Dorthia Lenel Sandifer, age 88, passed away on Monday, May 25 at Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bogalusa, a homemaker, a loving wife and dear friend to those who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters: Jackie Strange of Bogalusa and Theresa Doyle of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Willie Ray Seal of Shreveport; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Sandifer; two sons, Stanley and Shannon Sandifer; her parents, Fred and Bessie Rushing Seal; a brother, Freddy Seal and a sister, Yvonne Smith.
Visitation will be held at the Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., continuing on Friday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. Bob Adams will officiate, with burial to follow in Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
