Stanley Ray , 61, a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa died last Friday at Bogalusa Community Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served six years in the US pppupuppNavy where he earned his Dolphins at New London, Connecticut Submarine Base. He attended MIT in Boston, Massachusetts pand served on a missile base at Cape Canaveral, Florida before graduating from LSU with a degree in electronic engineering. He was employed at Crown-Zellerbach in St. Francisville, Portland, Oregon and then transferred to Bogalusa as supervisor of the electrical department at the mill. He also taught at a technology school in Baton Rouge before opening his own computer stores, SST Computers, in Gonzalez and Grammercy.

He is survived by his children, Toby, Stephanie and Sarah Sandifer and their mother Carrie Sandifer, all of Gonzalez, Louisiana, his mother, Dorthia Sandifer of Bogalusa; sisters, Jackie Strange of Bogalusa, Shannon Sandifer of Houston, Texas and Theresa Doyle of San Antonio, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
