Elgin
March 3, 1929 - October 6, 2003
HATTIESBURG, MS — Elgin Ray Montgomery Sr., 74, a resident of Bogalusa, died Monday in Forrest General Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Elgin Ray Montgomery Jr., Craig Montgomery, and Randall Cook of Little Rock, AR; a sister, Neva Hamilton of Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Jerry Montgomery; and his parents, William and Florence Montgomery.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home today from 5:30-9 p.m. with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. by the Masonic Lodge No. 244 F&AM. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Revs. Jon Kittrell and Bob Adams will officiate at the service.
Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
