September 15, 1921 - July 11, 2006
Joseph Elvin Edmonston, 84, a resident of Bogalusa, died Tuesday, July 11 in Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Covington. Born Sept. 15, 1921 in Slidell, he was a member of Pettitt Memorial Baptist Church and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Geneva Edmonston of Bogalusa; a son Brian (Heidi) Edmonston of Mandeville; two grandchildren, Tyler Edmonston and Abbey Edmonston; a step-son, Wayne Champagne of Bogalusa; two step-grandchildren, Rachel Champagne and Jerry Champagne, both of Bogalusa; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Tommy Varnado will officiate, with burial following in Ponemah Cemetery.
