Missing In Action / Finding of Death
This is a Cenotaph. Staff Sergeant Brown was lost over the Burma Road flying the Hump. The Hump was an approximate 530-mile stretch to airlift supplies to China to aid in their fight against Japan. The route consisted of mountainous peaks and adverse weather conditions that claimed the lives of more than one thousand men and six hundred planes.
