March 17, 1920 - November 30, 2007

Sephus Adams, age 87, died Friday, Nov. 30 in Resthaven Living Center. He was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an usher. He was employed at the Bogalusa paper mill for 32 years as an oiler and millwright. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was involved in the Normandy Invasion, Operation Cobra, Battle of the Bulge, the invasion of Germany and the Philippines.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gerry Quast Adams of Bogalusa; two sons, Kelly (Marsha) Adams and Kenneth (Joyce) Adams, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Verda Brum field of Bogalusa and Hazel Mathis of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Tara Fornea of Varnado, Jody, Stephen, Samuel and Stuart Adams, all of Bogalusa; and two step-grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Penny of Bogalusa and Deanna Moore of Hattiesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Geneva T. Adams; his step-mother, Dovie Adams; three brothers, Robert James "R.J." Adams, Owen Adams and Chancy Adams; three sisters, Alice Beall, Betsy O'Quinn and Flossie Barber.

Visitation will be held today from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday, Dec. 3 at 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Bob Belknap will conduct the religious service, with interment following in Ponemah Cemetery.

Daughter of Albert C and Ida Milhardt Quast
Geraldine Quast Adams, 85, passed away Thursday, July 23 at Rest Haven Living Center. She was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sons: Kelly (Marsha) Adams and Kenny (Joyce) Adams, all of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., continuing on Sunday from 12 noon until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Bob Belnap officiating. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
