DENHAM SPRINGS- Wanda Wallace Story, age 77, a homemaker, passed away Saturday at her home in Denham Springs. She was a native of Franklinton,
Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs yesterday and continued today from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Mark Crosby and Rev. Calvin Crowe. Burial will be at Nobles Cemetery in Pine with the Rev. Denny Brumfield officiating.
She is survived by her husband, William Story; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gaynelle Thomas Rhodes and husband John, Wanda Sue Knight Daigle and husband, Douglas and Laureen Knight McDaniel and husband Lucky; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bruce and Kaye Thomas, Miachel Thomas, and Rodney and Robin Thomas; eight grandchildren and spouses, Rachel and Cody Thomas, Terri Moulder and husband Jimmy, Brandi Jordon and husband Johnny, Gary Mitchell and wife Brandi, Desir'ee Rhodes and fiancé Jason Todd Price and son Blade, Logan Rhodes and special friend Morgan Cotton and Shelli Daigle; three great-grandchildren, Haley Drake, Lundon and Payton Mitchell; sister and brother-in-law, Wanzie Wallace LaRocca and husband Louis; stepchildren Bobby Scott and his friend Sara Ridgel, Leamond Scott and Linda Hulin; as well as a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her first husband William Preston Thomas; second husband Shelton G. Knight; parents, Thornton and Myrtie Rainey Wallace and grandson John Jacady Rhodes.
She was a longtime member and attended Cane Market Road Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
