Peggy McCartney Cupp, 67 of Junction City, LA passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Ruston, LA. Peggy was born May 21, 1948 in Richland Parish, LA to the union of John McCartney and Nancy Huff McCartney Armstrong.
Peggy was a longtime resident of Junction City, LA , was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and was retired from the Junction City Schools. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Cupp of Junction City, two sons; Kerry Thompson and wife Rena of Summerfield, LA, and Brant Cupp and wife Christon of Junction City, LA, step-mother; Emily "Tom" McCartney, two sisters; Betty Lou Johnson, and Mary Ann Johnson, all of Sterlington, LA, step-sister; Nell Ambrose of Colfax, LA , four grandchildren; Cory Thompson and wife Lindsay, Courtney Killgore and husband Zach, Shelby Thompson and Aniston Cupp, one great grandson; Trey Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, Spearsville, LA, with Rev. Adam Hill and Rev. Leroy Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
