Violet Viva Murphy Sharp, Age 92 and a resident of Franklinton died at 1:50 am Thursday November 1, 2012 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church who enjoyed fishing. She loved to quilt and made beautiful quilts, actually winning numerous Fair ribbons. Mrs. Sharp was very artistic in her paintings and drawings. She also was a good cook, especially her chicken pie and coconut cake.

2 Daughters and Sons in law: Marjorie Nell Griffith and Rev. Charles Griffith of Saraland, AL, Bobbie and Bruce Taber of Franklinton
Brother: Joseph H. Jones of Franklinton
2 Grandchildren and Spouses: Brad and Mandy Taber, Kim and Carlton Talley all of Franklinton
5 Great-grandchildren: Brandon and Teresa Talley, Brett Talley, Haley Taber, Caroline Taber all of Franklinton, Page Griffith Lancaster of Atmore, AL
2 Great-great-grandchildren: Andrew Pigott, Carly Talley
Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Sharp, her grandson Tracy Allan Griffith, her parents J.D. Jones and Corinne McNeese Jones, her father John Murphy, 7 brothers and sisters Thurston Murphy, Shawnee Murphy, Vivian Murphy Herald, Evelyn Jones Sharp, James Dewitt "Red" Jones, J.L. Jones and Bessie Lou Jones Williamson.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday November 3rd from 9 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Harry McIntyre and Rev. Michael Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
