FRANKLINTON - Alma Woodward Birdwell, age 89, a former resident of Pine, died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday in Miramar Lodge Nursing Home in Pass Christian.
She was a retired seamstress for Rutter Rex Manufacturing.
She is survived by a son, Herschel Foster of Violet LA; four grandchildren, Chuck Foster of Bogalusa, Kenneth Foster of Bay St. Louis, Michael Foster of Metairie and Lisa Weaver of Slidell; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Freddie Creel of Pine.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Birdwell; a grandson, Steve Foster; three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. tomorrow until time for the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Nobles Cemetery.
