BOGALUSA n Floreda Jenkins Thomas, 80, a native of Enon and a resident of Bogalusa, died at 12:25 p.m. yesterday in her home.
A retired elementary school teacher of the Bogalusa City School system, she received a master plus 30 from Southeastern Louisiana University.
She was a member of Retired Teacher's Association, Bogalusa Garden Guild, and a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Benjamin Louis Thomas of Franklinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Acy Sr. Hartfield of Bogalusa; a sister, Freddie Corkern of Franklinton; six sisters-in-law, Mary B. Jenkins, Genevia Knight, Mamie McDonald, Zellie Mizell, Cora McCain, all of Franklinton, and Gladys Merse of Baker; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leon and Esther Thomas of Bogalusa, and Virgil and Edna Jones of Franklinton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Acy and amber Hartfield Jr. of Bogalusa, Angela and Robert Voss of Boyce, Chad and Tracy Thomas, Patsy Rester, and Mitch Welch, all of Franklinton; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Rachal of Boyce, Ryan and Logan Thomas, Matthew, Christian, Lauren, Ashlyn and Adam Welch, all of Franklinton; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Thomas; her parents, E. Fred and Maude Green Jenkins; three sisters, Troy Jones, Melba Pierce Morrison, and Eckel Wood; and a brother, R.J. Jenkins.

Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home today from 5-9 p.m. and will continue after 9 a.m. tomorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Elds Duane Ball and Doyle Ball will officiate at the service.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
