BOGALUSA - Ruth Cooper Hosey, age 91, died Wednesday, March 21 at her residence in Bogalusa. She was a member of Elizabeth Sullivan United Methodist Church and a retired teacher and principal at Pleasant Hill and Denhamtown schools.
She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne (Bob) Rogan of Bogalusa; one sister, Elaine (John) Walz of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren, Angela Courtney, Lynn Miller, John Rogan, Jarod Rogan, Laura Pounds and James Rogan; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T. J. Hosey.
Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 22. The funeral service is being held today at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Alan Einsel will officiate with interment following in McGehee Cemetery.
