Era Leader Newspaper: Barbara "B.J." Sharp Melton Died June 3, 2001. Barbara "B. J." Sharp Melton(Died June 3, 2001)BATON ROUGE - Barbara "B.J." Sharp Melton, 40, a resident of Baton Rouge died Sunday in her home.She is survived by a brother, Shelby L. Sharp of Franklinton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shelia S. and Adrian "Bean" Prejean of Port Allen and Melissa Wright of Independence; her grandfather, Mavis Magee of Franklinton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death was her parents, Shirley and Annette Magee Sharp.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home today from 6-9 p.m. and will continue after 9 a.m.tomorrow until time of service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in the Magee Cemetery.
