Lerue Nielson(Died June, 12, 2006)FRANKLINTON - Lerue Nielson, age 54, a resident of Franklinton, died at 10 p.m. Monday, June 12 in St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. He was a dairyman and a former employee of the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office.He is survived by his wife, Becky Knight Nielson of Franklinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly N. and Lindy Terrell of Franklinton; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Suzette Nielson of Franklinton; his mother, Myrtle S. Nielson of Franklinton; two grandsons, Dustin Nielson and Darrell Burris; three granddaughters, Danielle Nielson, Katie Burris and Kassidy Nielson; two step-daughters and spouse, Brandie and Chuck Welch of Bogalusa and Brittany Stinson of Franklinton; two step-grandchildren, Tanner Welch and Riley Welch; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Joan Nielson, Gary and Carel Nielson, all of Franklinton; seven nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and friends, John and Kerry Mord of Tylertown.He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Nielson Jr.; and a sister, Joann Magee.Visitation was held Wednesday, June 14 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home and continued after 9 a.m. Thursday, June 15 until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. W. Tullos, Rev. Jerry Barber, Rev. Leon Hickman and Eld. Lerand Hunt officiated, with burial following in the Magee Cemetery.
