J.W. BARBER, age 87
and a resident of Franklinton died at 4:35 PM Sunday at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
He was a retired employee of the La. DOTD and a member of Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church and attended Muster Ground Missionary Baptist Church.
Survived by: Son and daughter in law: Pete and Helen Barber of Franklinton 3 Daughters and sons in law: Lucy and Mickey McCain Linda Nell Creel all of Dexter, MS Faye and Marlin Riley of Mt. Hermon 2 Brothers: Ottis Barber Willis Barber both of Franklinton also 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife Dora Turnage Barber; 4 brothers Collins, Huelon, Marley and Carlos Barber; 3 sisters Lennie Barber, Elvie Warren and Onetha Simmons.
Visitation at Crain Funeral Home from 6 PM until 9 PM Monday and after 12 Noon Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Rodney Graham and Eld. Don McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in the Magee Cemetery on Lawrence Creek Road.
