FRANK LILLARD BATEMAN, AGE 92

And a resident of Denham Springs died at 3:10 pm Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Golden Age Nursing Home. He was a former longtime resident of Enon and a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Frank was a member of Enon Baptist Church where he formerly taught Sunday School. He was a former operator for Union Carbide that enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Frank was very good at wood working and built many cabinets and remodeled many homes in the area. He was always a loving husband, father and grandfather and he had special place in his heart for his granddaughter Kelly.

2 Daughters: Lana B. Gamble of San Antonio, TX, Sarah B. Cooper of Denham Springs
Son: Clay F. Bateman of Silsbee, TX,
6 Grandchildren: Wes Gamble, Kristen Cooper, Kelly Cooper, Diana Marshall, Drew Waldrop, Joseph Bateman
10 Great-grandchildren: Jessica, Cory, Camron, Layla, Elise , Aurora, Rob, Jayden, Krista, and Ariana
Great-great-grandson: Remington
Brother: Hugh V. Bateman of Enon
2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Janel Brumfield of Baton Rouge, Martha Jane and Buford Mizell of the Springhill Community
Sister in law: Wynette B. Tripp of Texas City, TX
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Byrket Bateman, his parents Frank Osban Bateman and Lillian Richardson Bateman and a brother Delbert Bateman.
Visitation will be Crain Funeral Home Saturday January 10th from 10 am until the funeral service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating.
Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Randy Bateman, Jon Brumfield, Ron Bateman, Steve Mizell, Greg Mizell, Gary Bateman, Marvin Byrkett
Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Richardson, Mike McLin, Dan Holland.

June 29, 1921 - July 12, 2008

NORA KATHRYN BYRKET BATEMAN, age 87
a native of Seymour, TX and longtime resident of the Enon Community in Washington Parish and currently residing in Denham Springs died at 9:30 AM Saturday, July 12 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was a retired telephone operator with Southwestern Bell and also served as a PBX operator with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in World War II. She was a member of the Enon Baptist Church.

Survived by: Husband: Frank L. Bateman of Denham Springs Daughter: Sarah Bateman Cooper of Denham Springs Son: Clay F. Bateman of Silsbee, TX Step- daughter: Lana B. Gamble of San Antonio Grandchildren: Kristen Cooper, Kelly Cooper, J.D. Bateman, Wes Gamble, Diana Evans and Andrew Waldrop. also survived by 6 Great-grandchildren Sister: Wynette B. Tripp of Texas City, TX

Visitation at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton after 10 AM Tuesday, July 15 until time for the funeral service at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Edmund Long officiating. Burial in the Enon Baptist Church cemetery.
