And a resident of Franklinton died at 2:46 AM Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She retired as a criminal deputy with Washington Parish Sheriff's Office. Her true enjoyments in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored and loved to spend time with each of them.
Survived by:
2 Daughters and sons in law: Lynn and Dr. Brian Fussell of Franklinton
Karen and Gary Smith of Woodstock, GA
3 Grandchildren and spouse: Ashley Smith Reid and Allen of Marietta, GA, Allison Fussell of Houston, TX Barrett Fussell of Franklinton
2 Great grandchildren: Carter Reid Garrett Reid
She was preceded in death by her husband Melton Von Stafford, her parents Cleon and Cammie Penny Bond and a sister Omalee Bond Cox.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home after 12:30 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Watts and Rev. Dale Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family prefers donations be made to First Baptist Church.
