Stafford, Evelyn Morgan
Evelyn Morgan Stafford, 76 and a resident of Franklinton, went to be with her maker at 3 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2005, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. She and her husband owned and operated Stafford Oil Co. for many years. She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a member of Winterset Club and the Friday Bridge Club. She loved crosswords, playing bridge, her church, spending time with her extended family and bragging about her children. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was the loving wife of Charles E. Stafford for 54 years. She also is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Johnie Matthew II and Susan Stafford of Frisco, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen S. and Steve Jewell of Kasilof, Alaska; four grandchildren, Michael Rumfield, Sean and Bradley Bonacum and Hannah Bruno; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton and Ruth Morgan, Ben and Christine Morgan and Glyn and Diane Morgan, all of Franklinton; and a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Silton Erwin of Franklinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iddo and Della Givens Morgan; and a sister, Charline Miller. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial in Ellis Cemetery .
