Died 3:50 pm Friday, September 21, 1990, at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, Louisiana. She was 90, a native and former resident of Franklinton, Louisiana and a resident of Baker, Louisiana. Survived by son Henry S Pierce Jr, Baker; daughters Mrs Frank (Joetta) Williams, Baker and Mrs Robert (Carrol) Melone, Tulsa, Oklahoma.; sisters Miss Evie Lea, Mrs Jessie Cox, and Mrs Howard (Ida) Stafford, all of Franklinton; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Henry Slidle Pierce, Sr. She was a member of Brownsfield Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
