INGE VOGEL KNOTT, AGE 93

And a resident of Franklinton died at 3:54 pm Monday July 15, 2013 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a native of Chemnitz, Germany and met her husband there during his time in World War II. Together they moved around the southern United States before moving to Franklinton in 1954 and later to Patterson, LA. Upon retirement, they settled again in Franklinton where she enjoyed gardening alongside her husband. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed watching soccer and rugby after her children's involvement in the sports. Mrs. Knott loved traveling, even visiting her native Germany on occasion to reconnect with family and friends.

Survived by:
3 Daughters: Hazel "Pete" Kaletta of Pimbroke Pines, FL, Sarah Sealock of Plano, TX, Erika Knott and her partner Kelly Bryson of New Orleans

Son and Daughter in law: Alex and Theresa Knott of Patterson, LA

7 Grandchildren

9 Great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Henry "Tom" Knott, granddaughters Sarabeth Sealock and Kathleen Sealock, her parents Alexander and Johannah Vogel, and her three sisters Margot, Ruth, and Edith.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday July 18th from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Bush officiating.

Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery
