Louis Wayne Hogue, 75, of Spearsville, La., was peacefully taken home to Heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at his home. Wayne was born Aug. 21, 1940 in Union County, to the union of Haltom Hogue and Minnie Lou Coleman Hogue.
He was preceded in death by his parents, whom he was reunited with in Heaven upon his passing.

Wayne loved his church, has family, his friends, but most of all he loved Jesus. He was a great example of a Godly father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His relationship with the Lord guided him in all of his decision making. He was a selfless man who everyday strived to be more like Jesus.
He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandkids, his other girl “Sassy,” going to church, being with family and friends, and he also loved a good domino or card game.
Wayne would always update you on the weather and the latest in the news. He served his country for six years in the U.S. Army National Guard, and was a member of Blanchard Springs Baptist Church in Junction City. He was former employee of Prescolite for 17 years, and retired owner and operator of Hogue Trucking Company.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years,; Nelda Hogue of Spearsville; son, the Rev. Timothy Hogue and his wife, Michelle, of Spearsville; daughter, Pamela Kay Avery and her husband, Micah, of Collierville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Whitney Hogue Williams and her husband, George, Andrew Hogue, Clint Hogue, Jacob Hogue, Laura Hogue, Leah Avery and Kason Avery; great-grandchildren, Reagan Williams, and Maleah Williams; brother, Tom Hogue and his wife, Kathy; and a sister, Melba Hollis.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the Blanchard Springs Baptist Church in Junction City.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Blanchard Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rubin Weaver and the Rev. Leroy Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Spearsville, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Junction City.
Any planned memorials may be made to the Blanchard Springs Baptist Church, 277 Welch Loop Road, Junction City, AR 71749.
