Melvin O. Pennington, 88, of Junction City, Arkansas passed away on November 18, 2018 at Hudson Nursing Home. He was born on October 3, 1930 in Junction City, Louisana to Harvey and Ruby Pennington.
Melvin spend most of his career in the trucking and logging business in South Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Teri Jordan and grandson Allen Pennington.
Melvin leaves behind his children Shelley (Buddy) Norris of Junction City, Arkansas, Wayne Jordan of Crossett, Arkansas, Mark Pennington of El Dorado, Arkansas and Lane Pennington of Junction City, Arkansas; his grandchildren Charlie Jordan of Crossett, Arkansas, Meagan Norris of Fort Worth, Texas, Amy Harrington of Hamburg, Arkansas and Zach Pennington of Monroe, Louisiana; eight great-grandchildren; his siblings Raymond Pennington, Howard Pennington both of Junction City, Arkansas; Carolyn Foster and Nelda Hogue both of Spearsville, Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Blanchard Springs Baptist Church, Junction City, Arkansas with funeral services to begin at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Beech Grove Cemetery, Spearsville, Louisiana.
Arrangements are under the trusted direction of A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.
