Funeral services for Travis Lee Calk, 78, of Spearsville, were held Monday at Junction City Church of Christ in Junction City with J. F. Layton and Bill Allen officiating. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery near Junction City under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado of El Dorado, Ark. Mr. Calk died Sunday at Union Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Ark. after a lengthy illness. He was a member of the Junction City Church of Christ, a retired carpenter, school teacher and Farmer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Glaze Calk of Spearsville; two sons, Dolon Calk of Shreveport and Gerald Calk of Junction City; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Smith of Spearsville; one foster son, Travis Brazzel of Kenner; one foster daughter, Mrs. Frank Schultz of Dearborn, Mich; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Carter of Downsville and Mrs. Effie Tidwell of Angelor, Tex.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ralph Summers, Steve Calk, Travis Calk, Gerald Calk, Jr., Ronnie Calk and Dan Senn. (The Gazette - Farmerville, Louisiana - May 12, 1977)
