Mrs Wright, 82, of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
Mrs Wright was a teacher for 34 years, having taught for the Department of Defense in Hawaii and the Philippines, and with the Rapides Parish School system for the last 16 years of her career at Boyce.
In 1998 Mrs. Wright wrote and published "The Eternal Web of Bayou Pierre" a book of family genealogy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E Wright; parents, Leo Carson and Mae Belle Nichols Basco; brother, Carlton Basco and sisters, Corliss Flournoy, Catherine Gaurino and Charlotte Lester.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Lester B. Wright of Gorum; daughters, Suzanne W. Trombatore of New Iberia and Glenda W. Meginley of Boyce; brother, Charles Basco; sisters, Carmen Troquille, Clara McDaniel; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren
