Mrs. Dorothy Taylor Hillburn, 57, a resident of the Springhill community near Franklinton, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, June 1st, at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans.
She was a native of Texas and a member of the Springhill Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Edward Hillburn of Franklinton; three sons, David W. Hillburn of Luling, Danny J. Hillburn of Franklinton, and James E. Hillburn of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Daniels of Franklinton and Mrs. Molly Johnson of Baton Rouge; her mother, Mrs. Mae B. Cochran of Liberty, Texas; a brother, Charles Donald Taylor of Angleton, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Tidwell of Palestine, Texas, and Mrs. Davey Lee Odom of Mossfield, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted Monday, June 3rd, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Keith Tipton and the Rev. Bruce Cambell officiating. Interment was in the Springhill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were David Hillburn, James Hillburn, Kerry Johnson, Donnie Taylor, Buddy Odom, and Brian Corkern. Mike Byrd served as honorary pallbearer.
