Frances Fisher Dixon a native and resident of Franklinton, and a longtime resident of Metairie died at 5:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton. She was a retired nurse having worked at New Orleans Charity Hospital for many years. She was member of Parkview Baptist Church, Metairie, LA.
Survived by: Son: Murray R. Dixon, Jr. of Metairie, 1 Brother: Morris Fisher of Franklinton, 5 Sisters: Evelyn F. Trebes of Metairie, Betty Bordell of Mauldin, SC, Glynn Picou of Cut Off, LA, Janice Stewart of Houston, TX, Judith Corts of Mexico, Several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Murray R. Dixon; her parents Floyd and Vera McClinton Fisher and a brother James Floyd Fisher, Jr.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 6 PM until 9 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2006. Visitation will continue after 10 AM Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Bethel Baptist Church with a funeral service to be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
