Four persons were killed, three instantly and a fourth dying shortly afterwards, Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 o'clock when a Florida East Coast train hit the small car containing the group at Moultrie Crossing, about 15 miles north of here. It was reported that the car stalled on the tracks, however this could not be verified, owing to lack of witnesses.
The four killed were Mrs. T. L. Arbuthnot; her sister, Mrs. P. M. Rawls, and the latter's two children, Edith, aged 6, and Robert aged 5. The accident occurred not far from the home of those killed, they living in the Pellicer Creek district.
According to information received here the party had been to St. Augustine, driving a new Ford sedan and were on the return trip and practically in sight of their homes.
