Funeral services for Willie Ernest “Bo” Cole will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities with the Reverend Jason Ramsey, Reverend Mark Foster and Dr Fred J Foster officiating. Internment will follow at the Rocky Branch Cemetery.
Mr Cole was born June 12, 1936 in Marion, Louisiana in Union Parish. He passed away at his home in Rocky Branch on the morning of Wednesday April 4, 2018. Bo was retired from Angus Chemical after 45 years of dedicated service. After his retirement Bo looked forward to reunions of his fellow workers. Ernest was a member of The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities where he was an usher as well as supporting the puppet ministry, drama productions and various church activities. He was an avid sponsor of the Boy Scouts of America where he served as an Assistant Scout Master. He proudly watched both his son and grandson become Eagle Scouts.
In his daily life Ernest would spend hours tinkering in his shop, tending to his yard and watching birds at his birdfeeders. He always had a great hunting or fishing story to share. Ernest was happiest with a plate of catfish surrounded by his family and close friends.
Preceding him in death is his wife of 54 years, Bettie June Chapman Cole; parents Ernest Lavelle “Dell” and Merle Goldsby Cole; brother Don Cole; grandson Jeremy Lance Cole.
Survivors include his children Dennis and Donna Martin Cole of Diana, Texas, Todd Cole and Jules Melon of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Rachel Cole of Rocky Branch, Brian and April Cole of West Monroe; sister Mary Ellen Albritton of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; sister-in-law Glenda Chapman of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Stephanie Cole Mims, Stacie Jones, Cody Jones, Will Cole, Kelly Cole, Katy Cole and 8 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. His furry little pal Rambo will always be at his side.
Pallbearers will be Keith Mayfield, Steve Albritton, Brian Cole, Todd Cole, Dennis Cole, Will Cole.
Honorary pallbearers are Troy Chapman, Noble Tillman, Gleason Copeland, William Welch, Charles McQuillen, PeeWee Spillers, JC Honeycott, George Monk, J C Chapman and Donovan Chapman.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 6, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
