Wife of J S Thomas
Christine Knight Thomas, 70, of Franklinton, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday at her home.
A member of First Baptist Church, she was a retired vice-president and cashier with First State Bank, where she had worked for 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, J.S. Thomas of Franklinton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald D. and Kristie Thomas of New Orleans and Dennis and Anna Thomas of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Alicia, Meaghan, Derrick and Jessica Thomas; one brother, Wayne Knight of Franklinton; one sister, Olean Corkern of Franklinton; and five sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Purcell and Ina Knight.
Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton yesterday from 6-10 p.m. Visitation continues today at the funeral home from noon until the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Jerry Barlow, Dr. Joe Baugh and the Rev. Karl Tingle will conduct the service and burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery in Thomas.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Thomas Cemetery Fund, in c/o Harold L. Thomas, 50216 Lawrence Creek Road, Franklinton, LA, 70438.
