Funeral services for Wendie Lynn Bevans Chevallier, 48, will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Bro. R. C. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Wendie went to her heavenly home March 1, 2016. She graduated Farmerville High School in 1985, attended University of Florida, and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1986, having served 30 years as a Master Sgt. and supply technician. She served during Desert Storm and past conflicts. For the past six years, she was a resident of the Shreveport/Greenwood area and a member of Wood Springs Baptist Church. Wendie loved people, was quick-witted, enjoyed rodeos, and taking pictures. She always had a smile on her face and made people feel at home. Wendie loved her family and her country. She was a loving mother and a wonderful wife. She will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death was her father, David Wayne "B-Baby" Bevans; grandparents: Millard & Nellie Megison, Waye Bevans, and Willhelmina & Elton Lake Medlin, Sr.; an uncle, Doug Megison; and her best friend, Cheryl Cole. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Thomas Edward Chevallier, Jr. of Shreveport; 2 sons: Nocona Bevans Self of Spearsville; and Ethan Andrew Chevallier of Ratcliff, KY; 3 daughters: Logan Deeann Self, Rachel MaKenna Russell, and Emily Catherine Murphy all of Shreveport; mother, Dee Bevans of Farmerville and 1 sister, Connie Bearden & husband, Kerry of Farmerville; 2 nieces: Kane Bearden & fiancée Paco Allen of Ruston and Ashley Davidson & husband, Jody of West Monroe; and 1 nephew, Trace Bearden of Farmerville. Wendie's son Nocona Self will serve as pallbearer. Visitation is Saturday, March 5th at Farrar Funeral Home beginning at noon until time of service.
