March 27, 1956 - July 26, 2017
Funeral services celebrating the life of Pamela Jo Odom Jones, age 61, will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017, 10:00 am at Beulah Baptist Church near Spearsville with Rev. Adam Holloway and Rev. Daniel Breithaupt officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Farmerville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Pam was born on March 27, 1956 in Bernice, LA and passed peacefully from this life on July 26, 2017. She was passionate about serving the Lord by helping others. Whether it was teaching Sunday School, helping at Vacation Bible School, or simply teaching her grandchildren Bible verses, Pam was always doing God's work. She never flaunted her faith for others to see, she was simply a walking testament to the Lord in everything she did. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Phil Jones of Farmerville; her children: Greg Hicks and Sarah Jones of Farmerville; her beautiful grandchildren: Addison and Peyton Hicks; her father and stepmother: James "Pete" and Ruby Odom of Laran; and her sister, Janice Savage and husband, Lucien Savage of D'arbonne.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dortha Jo Odom, father-in-law, Fred Jones, and mother-in-law, Ernestine Jones.
Pallbearers will be Adron Hart, Scott Taylor, Scotty Thomas, J.J. Johnson, Joe Booth, and Chris Snell. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Royce Alford and George Cothran.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the many family and friends who have been here for Pam the last 19 months of her life. We can never repay your kindness. We would also like to thank Dr Scott Barron and his staff at Oncology Associates.
If you would like to show honor to Pam's legacy, fix a large glass of chocolate milk, sit down, and enjoy time with your family. That was one of her most favorite things to do.
